Newark & Sherwood Community and Voluntary Service (CVS) provides free support services to voluntary organisations in the Newark & Sherwood District.

These service include information, funding advice and support, training, practical resources, recruiting and placing volunteers and developing partnerships between statutory and voluntary sector, carers and users of services.

Newark & Sherwood CVS ensures quality and equality in all aspects of its delivery of services.

Newark & Sherwood CVS was awarded the Investors in People standard in 1999 and achieved Bronze status in 2009.

Opening hours

Monday to Thursday 9am to 3.30pm

Friday 9am to 12noon.

Newark & Sherwood CVS is a partner of Nottinghamshire First.

Other members of the partnership are NAVO, BCVS, Gedling CVS, Voluntary Action Broxtowe, Rushcliffe CVS, Ashfield Voluntary Action and Mansfield CVS and several Infrastructure Bodies across the County.

Together, we are working to improve services and communications across organisations and businesses, develop skills and qualifications and help groups to become business aware.
