There are no secrets about how to make better funding applications. It takes time, patience, care and research. Your enthusiasm for your project, combined with our help, will turn a good application into a great application. I offer one-to-one support with completing your funding applications.
I am also happy to proof read any funding application before you submit it to the funder. I can support you with Business Planning and can advise on project management and Governance issues.

In Newark and Sherwood we are quite unique in that we have a Funding Issues Group specifically dedicated to ensuring the Voluntary Sector in the area is up to date with new funding opportunities and receives quality training from advisors and funders alike.
The group consists of representatives from District Council, NCC, Big Lottery Fund, Nottinghamshire Focus on Funding, East Midlands Funders Advisors Network and many more. Jo Butler chairs the group, most of the training and events are organised through this group.

Nottinghamshire 4 Communities is an online funding search facility that has information about government funding, Lottery funding, charitable trusts, and local funding for Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.
There is also a help and advice section that gives you definitions about the different types of funding and a really comprehensive jargon buster that will help you with your funding applications.
This website is quick and easy to use. All you need to do to start searching is click on 'search for funding' and fill in the short registration form and then you can begin looking for funding straight away.

Funding Central is a comprehensive funding search website that is managed by the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO). You can search for grants, contracts, and loan finance for your charity, voluntary organisation, or social enterprise.
There are several sections to the website including support and advice, a partner zone where you can connect with groups looking for partners to do joint funding bids, funding deadlines and other funding related resources. You can also sign up to get email alerts when new funding information becomes available.
This website asks very detailed questions to ensure you get the funding you are looking for so it will take longer to register, but you will get more tailored results. You need to fill in the registration form to get started, and then you can begin your funding search.
The Sustainable Funding Project has lots of advise and resources on how to help your organisation become more sustainable.
