Nottinghamshire Carers Alliance - Supporting Positive Mental Healthcare

The Alliance is a network of mental health Carer Support Groups in Nottinghamshire who want to improve their sustainability and communication between them, and raise the carers' voice in Nottinghamshire.

There are 14 Carer Support Groups involved so far across the county and a Steering Group has been set up involving representatives from many of these groups.

The Alliance will impact on important service developments such as the new GP Commissioning groups, Day Service re-organisation, Personal Budgets, carer services funding and mental health service quality and reconfiguration. It is the umbrella organisation in Nottinghamshire for over 250 carers of people with mental ill-health problems. It is facilitated by Nottingham Carers' Council.
