If so, come along to the Carers Network.
The Network is a recognised channel of communication between parents and carers of adults with learning disabilities and service providers in the NHS, local authorities and other public bodies.
The Forum has a formal consultation role and is carer led. Service providers are invited to attend to discuss current issues and plans.
Members of the North Notts Parent Carers Network sit on the Nottinghamshire County Learning Disability Partnership Board. They represent carers at the Board meetings. To find out more about the Partnership Board use the menu on the left or click here.
The Network meets every 6 weeks or so, for about 2 hours, at the Dukeries Complex, New Ollerton. Expenses such as travel or care costs are reimbursed and refreshments are provided.
There is a similar network of Parent/carers in Nottingham (covering Nottingham City, Broxtowe & Hucknall, Rushcliffe & Gedling. Joint meetings take place occasionally to share views and concerns and review progress.
