Newark & Sherwood Local Strategic Partnership (LSP)

Newark & Sherwood LSP was originally formed in 2000 and was re-organised in July 2008.

It comprises a Board, Management Group, 6 theme groups, 6 sub-theme groups, and a number of focus and task and finish groups.

 Newark & Sherwood Local Strategic Partnership (LSP)

The Theme Groups are:

  • Children and Young People
  • Safer Communities
  • Economic
  • Health and Wellbeing
  • Stronger Communities
  • Sustainable Communities

The Partnership brings together all major, statutory, voluntary and Community organisations and the business community organisations from across the Newark and Sherwood District area to deliver the aspirations set out in the district's Sustainable Community Strategy, which presents a shared vision for the district, and sets out the top priorities that need to be addressed across Newark and Sherwood's communities.

It also establishes, through the Community Plan, how local agencies will work together with local people to promote the development of communities that are socially, economically and environmentally sustainable.
