    Job Vacancy for Home-Start Newark

    Home-Start is the UK’s leading family support charity with over 300 local projects all over the UK and with British Forces abroad.   Last year Home-Start supported over 33,000 families and 69,000 children.

    Home-Start is a voluntary organisation committed to promoting the welfare of families with at least one child under 5 years of age. Visiting families in their own homes, volunteers offer regular support, friendship and practical help to families under stress, helping to prevent family crisis and breakdown.

    Project Worker – Big Hopes Big Future (part time)
    15 hrs per week (£20,253 pro rata)

     

    Home-Start Newark is seeking to appoint an individual with experience of working with families and children in an early years setting to fulfil the role of Project Worker for our ‘Big Hopes Big Future’ work.

     

    Big Hopes Big Future (BHBF) is an exciting new work area specially designed to prepare families and children for the move to full time schooling to enable better social and educational outcomes

     

    The successful candidate will directly contribute to the ongoing development of this new area of work and will oversee and contribute to its planning and delivery.

     

    Very occasionally, hours of work may include some lunch time, evening and weekend work so flexibility will be required.   Applicants must have use of their own car, for which expenses are paid. A DBS check at enhanced level will be necessary for this post.

    This post is for a 12 month fixed contract to be reviewed.
