Help us to help our communities
Homestart Newark
Organiser (working to a Senior Organiser)
18 hours per week– 12 month fixed term (with possibility of extension)
£23,023 FTE (£11,200 Pro rata for 18 hours)
If you’re looking for an opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of local families this could be the role for you.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join us at an exciting time of expansion into a new geographical area. With the support of the Newark staff team, you would be responsible for establishing and delivering our vital family support services in the Ollerton, Boughton and Bilsthorpe areas of Nottinghamshire.
As one of our Organisers you will help to establish our amazing charity in this new geographical area, managing your own caseload, working closely with referrers and partners and maintaining accurate recording systems. You will help to recruit, train and develop volunteer home visitors, matching them with families and supervising their work. You will also provide direct support to families.
Reporting to our Senior Organiser your desk work will be home-based, linking with the Newark office team, but much of your delivery will be done in the community. You will have a strong presence in the local areas covered, developing excellent relationships and referral pathways with local agencies. You will also travel to work with families in their homes, assessing need, providing support, measuring progress, and seeing first-hand how simple interventions can turn lives around and make futures brighter.
If this is the opportunity you’ve been looking for and you think you’ve got what it takes then we’d love to hear from you. For an application pack, or informal chat about the post, please email info@homestartnewark.co.uk or call us on 01636 705011.
Our closing date for applications is 5pm Monday 2nd May 2022
Interviews will be held on week commencing Monday 16th May.
Home-Start Newark is committed to safer recruitment practice as an important part of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults. The successful candidate will be required to undertake a DBS check at enhanced level and to provide 2 references.
We are committed to equality of opportunity and diversity and welcome applications from all parts of the community.
