Communities 1st
Communities 1st is a three-year Lottery Funded project in Mid and South Nottinghamshire. Working in partnership with Rushcliffe CVS the core principle of this project is to provide the best quality services to our communities and beneficiaries; this will be achieved by working together to explore ways of sharing resources and developing services.
Latest Update [October 1st 2024]
After a comprehensive financial due diligence process conducted by an independent organisation, along with thorough internal due diligence and extensive discussions, we are delighted to announce that both Newark and Sherwood CVS Board, Rushcliffe CVS Board, and the Shadow Board have approved the merger into a new organisation, which is set to launch on 1st April 2025. You can find more details in the documents below.

Where are we now?
Current Work
- Our shared template resources are now live on our websites. You can find them here to download and edit for free.
- A document has been created with the aim to support organisations understand which legal structure is best for them. You can view that here
- We will be implementing a stakeholder communications and engagement plan during the next few months and will post regular up dates on this page and other social media channels
